• Account details such as your name, email address and user role.
• Shortlist and enquiry information you choose to submit.
• Property and contact information submitted by accommodation providers.
• Basic technical data such as device, browser, IP address and usage logs.
• Messages and support information you send to us.

How we use information

We may use information to operate accounts, show and improve listings, connect students with accommodation providers, respond to support requests, protect the platform, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.

When you send an enquiry, relevant information may be shared with the accommodation provider so they can respond.

Storage, service providers and retention

We may use service providers for hosting, databases, email, maps and analytics. They may process information only to provide services to us and subject to their own safeguards.

We use Google Analytics on public pages to understand visits and interactions such as page views, scrolling and outbound links. This can involve cookies and technical information about your browser and device. We do not intentionally send account details or email addresses to Google Analytics. Analytics storage defaults to denied for visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland; advertising personalisation is disabled for all visitors. Account, admin and password-reset pages are excluded from Analytics. StudentIn activity such as shortlists and applications is recorded separately as part of the service.

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, dispute handling, security and legal requirements. No internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention needs. You may also object to or ask us to restrict certain processing.
